
When you've been responsible for as many Formula One World Championships and devastatingly fast supercars - including the new McLaren MP4-12C (pictured above) - as Ron Dennis, you're entitled to speak your mind... and for others to listen up. The executive chairman and part owner of the McLaren Group, Dennis has earned a reputation for his outspoken opinion, and this time directed his criticism toward the venerable Bugatti Veyron.

The time has come for luxury mag Robb Report to issue its latest Car of the Year. Being that the end of 2009 also marks the end of a tidy little decade, the editors at the magazine took the opportunity to bestow one important car with the title Car of the Decade - the first time in the 17 years that Robb Report has been handing out automotive awards that it's granted two in one year. So, who won?

We never thought we'd see the day when someone would have to sweeten the deal to sell a car as eminently desirable as a Bugatti Veyron. But with the economy still putt-putting its way down the road to recovery, there are plenty of wealthy collectors looking to free up some liquid assets. That means a buyer's market, so we wouldn't be surprised to see everything this side of the proverbial kitchen sink thrown in to seal the deal.

Remember last week's Conan O'Brien stunt where he decided that the best way to get even with NBC for forcing him out of his dream job was to create insanely expensive bits? He dressed a Bugatti Veyron up as a mouse and played some heavily copywritten Rolling Stones. Total purported price tag: $1.5 million dollars.

You might have heard about a little, but very expensive, storm in a teacup involving NBC, Conan O'Brien and Jay Leno. A quick summary for those of you doing other things with your lives, Jay left The Tonight Show to do a 10PM show, and Conan took over The Tonight Show. Seven months later, Jay's show isn't working out for NBC, so Jay gets to go back to late night TV, and NBC tells Conan he can push the The Tonight Show back a half hour, or he can walk.

After about three hours at Meadow Brook, team Autoblog was ready to head out and get writing. The only thing that had us scratching our heads was the lack of modern supercars out on the lawn. On our way out the door, though, one of the gentlemen working the show asked us if we'd seen the exotics, which were hidden at the side of Meadow Brook Hall. Thank you sir.
