
The caviar and concours-loving world was rocked this past Saturday night when Zagato dropped its Alfa Romeo TZ3 Corsa bomb. Seriously y'all, this sucker's so stunning that we don't even mind the childish graphics. In fact, our only gripe is that we weren't in attendance at the this weekend's 2010 Villa D'Este Concours so we could check out the tube-framed, almost Kamm-tailed TZ3 ourselves. Meaning we have no real gripes to speak of.

BMW has a treat planned for this year's Villa d'Este on Italy's Lake Como to celebrate the 70th anniversary year of the Munich firm winning the Mille Miglia - and it's not the 328 Mille Miglia Concept Coupé. Instead, the swoopy steel form of the 328 Kamm Coupé will grace the sun's rays after 40 years in obscurity and a rebuild in the works since the last millennium.

Although decades have separated the modern Bugatti from its heritage, the Alsatian exotic marque is one that prides itself on its racing pedigree. So to bridge that gap and celebrate its 100th anniversary, Bugatti rolled in to the Villa d'Este auto show on the shores of Lake Como in northern Italy, as promised, with a quartet of special edition Veyrons.

Prominently featured on the Aston Martin stand on the first day of this year's Geneva Motor show was the rolling chassis of the very first One-77 prototype. By day two it had been be removed and replaced by the unfortunate Lagonda concept. The chassis had to be returned to the UK so that the bodywork and interior could be added. This week, the finished car had its coming out party on the shores of Italy's Lake Como, home to the rich and famous.

Ahead of its debut at this weekend's gorgeousness that is the Villa d'Este "Carnival of the Rich," British stalwart Morgan is previewing its new Aero Super Sports, its latest aluminum-chassis'd roadster.
Like some of its more recent siblings, the limited-edition roadster will once again make use of BMW power, in this case, Bimmer's 4.8-liter V8 paired with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission (power figures are not being disclosed at this time).

Bugatti Veyron Centenaire - Click above for a low-res image galleryIt must be a month with the letter "R" in it, because Bugatti is releasing yet another special edition Veyron. Following up on the one-off Blue Centenaire that was shown in Geneva to celebrate the marque's 100th anniversary, the latest is actually a corral of four special editions, each in a different color and dedicated to the legend of one of the company's pre-WWII racing drivers: Sir Malcolm Campbell, Hermann zu Leiningen, Jean-Pierre Wimille and Achille Varzi.

In our next life, we hope we don't come back as a concept car. The show-bound vehicles get rushed through development, fussed over, shipped off to some exposition hall to be scrutinized by people like us, then all but completely forgotten. It's a rough existence. But every dog has his day, and for some of the world's most beautiful show cars, that day comes at Villa d'Este.
